Downers Grove South Notches Loss Against The North Stars

  • In a great showing, Paul Engo III scored 17 points, but this was not enough as Downers Grove South fell to the North Stars 67-46.
  • Although they scored a game-high 13 points during the first quarter, Downers Grove South trailed early, losing 30-25 by the half. Downers Grove South played an aggressive game, racking up 22 fouls.
  • Alec Goetz broke away to lead the North Stars's offense with 20 points, including 13 during the first quarter.
  • Engo III got Downers Grove South off to a great start, scoring six points in the first quarter.
  • Also scoring for the North Stars were Jack Callaghan (10 points), Garret Johnson (9), Jake Ludwig (9), Camden Cotter (6), Erik Miller (3), David Pozna (3), Chase Gianacakos (2), Johnny Davern (2) and Tyler DeMoss (2).
  • Also putting points on the board for Downers Grove South were Javon Turner (7 points), Jamaal Harvey (5), Danny Spinuzza (5), Wesley Dahle (4), Hunter Thoren (2) and Darryl Howard (2).
