The North Stars took an early lead during the first period, holding on to win against Plainfield East 58-54 on Wednesday.
- Trailing 29-20 by the half, Plainfield East fell behind early in the game. The North Stars cemented their lead in the third quarter, scoring 18 points.
- Jake Ludwig had the edge for the North Stars's offense, scoring 21 points, including eight during the first period.
- Aaron Jordan shot well from the field, making 39% (7-for-18) of shots attempted as well as 43% (3-for-7) of threes attempted. He also shot well from the line, making 80% (4-for-5) of free throws attempted.
- Also putting points on the board for the North Stars were Erik Miller (10 points), Alec Goetz (10), Jack Callaghan (5), Garret Johnson (4), Chase Gianacakos (2), Camden Cotter (2) and Tyler DeMoss (2).
- Nick Novak hit two three-pointers and scored eight points total. Also racking up points for Plainfield East were James Claar (5 points), Myles Ward (5), Joshua Smith (4) and Jordan Reed (3).
