North's Camden Cotter blocks North Lawndale's Antonio Willis shot
- The St. Charles North Stars, came into Wednesday nights game looking for another win against a ranked opponent, the Stars would do just that, beating North Lawndale College Prep 64-53. The Michael O'Brien's Super 25 boys basketball rankings, had Plainfield East ranked 23rd and North Lawndale ranked 18. What a way for St. Charles North to start the year, two quality wins over ranked opponents.
- The North Stars seized the lead during the first quarter and held on, beating North Lawndale 64-53 on Thursday.
- Trailing 32-23 by the half, North Lawndale fell behind early in the game. With 12 points in the third quarter, the North Stars added to their existing lead.
- Alec Goetz had the edge for the North Stars's offense, scoring 17 points, including nine during the fourth quarter.
- Putting up seven of his points in the final quarter, Keith Mack had a strong finish for North Lawndale.
- Jack Callaghan put up two three-pointers and scored nine points total, but would fall into foul trouble midway through the fourth quarter were he picked up his fourth foul of the night. Also contributing to the scoring for the North Stars were Garret Johnson (6 points), Camden Cotter (5) and Tyler DeMoss(2).
- Also putting points on the board for North Lawndale were Treshaun Carr (8 points),Jeremy Williams (7), Stephon Harris (5), Damontre Enos (3), DeAndre Watson (3),Manny Smith (2), Fred Sims (2), Manny Patterson (2), Wendell Anderson (2), Antontio Willis (2) and Khasiim Giles (2).
